A classic shape reimagined through colour and high-gloss lacquer, the Atlas Stool collection extends the original design with new forms and finishes. Defined by offset legs and generous silhouettes, the collection interweaves the circle and square through both the original four-legged form and a softer, rounded variation with three legs and a circular seat. Available in Espresso, Burgundy, and Crème, the Atlas Stool works equally well as a stool or side table. The lacquered finish brings depth and reflection to the form, lending the collection a more vivid presence.

John Astbury
John Astbury’s studio was founded in 2014 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. After previously studying anthropology in England, John Astbury completed studies in design at Konstfack, college of Arts, and Crafts in 2011. Building from archetypes, his work reduces the object to its fundamentals, exposing material, structure and form. A language of absolute simplicity while making visible the dialogues and symbols that surround the object.
