Plenty of ground clearance and the characteristic space between the seat cushions and the railing held by a slender aluminium frame give it a unique transparency. The classic front and rear view of a sofa become virtually indistinguishable here.
Whether you choose a single sofa, a two-piece arrangement or a large living landscape: various individual elements can be connected together or used as standalone items to create versatile combinations in the open-plan style of modern architecture. The seat frame, seat and backrest upholstery and the loose backrest cushions are all available in different materials and colours. These can be combined to create an elegant “mix and match” style. With all this flexibility, Rolf Benz JAZ is a master of the craft: elaborate decorative stitching and the finest upholstery comfort available in two versions bear witness to the detailed work that goes into this sofa.
The upholstered railing on Rolf Benz JAZ can be adjusted individually for each module while you are seated. The seat depth or width can effortlessly be extended by around 10 cm. Transition easily from an upright sitting position to individual reclining positions, enabling you to find your perfect seating comfort whatever your size. The side end elements can either be configured with a functional railing so you can relax on your side, or left open with an optional side section cushion.

Toan Nguyen
Toan Nguyen was born in Paris in 1969 and graduated in Industrial Design at ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, in 1995. After experiences in several design studios in Paris, Barcelona and Milan and notably ten years of collaboration with Antonio Citterio as design director and design partner, signing products for many brands such as Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Wendelbo, Flos, Fusital, Guzzini, Iittala, Kartell, Metalco, Skantherm, Technogym or Vitra, Toan Nguyen founded his own design studio based in Milan in 2008.
